Absolutely profound at the Burn tonight. Jeremy Perigo was leading worship with Hannah and I, and teaching during our two hour slot. We had planned just to start with a song or two but it turned into an hour of very deep spontaneous singing, moving from the call to allow God into every part of our lives to the consolation of receiving his love.

I've rarely experienced such powerful spontaneous songs, to be honest. There were a number of clear prophetic themes, a number of powerful call-and-responses, and an ad-libbed sing through a psalm. By the time Jeremy spoke, the air was thick with seriousness about God.

We led off again with the quieter 10,000 Fathers version of 'Sing the Name'. That really exploded. By the time we got to 'Great Are You, Lord' there was an incredible atmosphere of worship and freedom.

After a lull, we sang a very new song 'Stand in Awe' which has been my jam for the last few days. I wasn't totally fluent teaching it, but people picked it up quickly. I think that's got some mileage. Then a strong 'I Exalt Thee' to close.

It's a long time since I've been so deeply impacted by a time of worship.

Jeremy is teaching again tomorrow. Then I'm leading Sunday morning. A busy weekend, but I'm feeling absolutely energised!
