Lively, as always on Easter Sunday, but we didn't quite raise the roof.

It was good to break out 'Happy Day' again: we haven't done that for a while. And songs like 'Thine be the glory' and 'He has risen' made their annual appearance.

It's often said that there aren't enough songs on the resurrection, but I found it surprisingly easy to put together a full set of songs with at least a passing mention...

'Saviour of the world' has "Christ the Lord overcame the darkness / He's alive, death has been defeated." And 'Jesus, holy and anointed' has "Jesus / Jesus, risen and exalted one." Those lines really shine on Easter Sunday.

It was a very up-tempo set overall. The room was alive for the first block, but a little less so for the second for some reason.

Perhaps I pushed a little too hard. And there were a number of the more enthusiastic folks away. And there was some head-scratching over whether Mark really meant that Jonah died in the fish and was resurrected.

But no doubt, it was a good morning! How could it not be on Easter Sunday? We joyfully proclaimed the strangest, most profound truth in the universe:

Christ is risen!
