Some hitches in the first set but an excellent morning in the end.

'Saviour of the world' is fast becoming the anthem of the term. It runs very well into 'Everyone needs compassion', which works pretty well in G.

I broke a string during 'Everyone needs' and had to swiftly retune before bringing out 'From the squalor' for the first time this year. Luckily the broken string was the G, which is probably the easiest to live without.

We had three baptisms, then John Barclay spoke on Galatians 6.

I swapped in 'When I survey' which fit very well with the passage, and we included the seldom sung fourth verse, which also comes from Galatians 6:

His dying crimson like a robe
Spreads o'er his body on the tree
Now I am dead to all the world*
And all the world is dead to me

* It's 'globe' in the original for the rhyme, but I prefer 'world'.

The final set really flew. I love it when that happens!
