A good morning. No illness or any other drama this week, just rich engagement with God.

It's half term week, so there were quite a number of Kings folk away and quite a few visitors with us. That always makes for a slightly different dynamic in the room. Mostly it's helpful to see what we do through fresh eyes.

It was a great band this morning, with a couple of new musicians playing for the first time.

I'm pleased with the version of 'Join all the glorious names' that we've arrived at. It's a wordy hymn, but they're good words. I used a "Hallelujah, hallelujah" tag that I often sing at the and of 'All creatures' to give us some language for response at the end.

Ruth spoke on the cost of discipleship. I had the heads-up on her main themes very early this week, so the whole response set linked very well. People brought helpful, focussed contributions.
