A rich, intense morning.

I led off by directing our hearts to Christ. A high vision of his glory, and a deep appreciation of his sacrifice.

We had a string quartet playing with the band this morning. They added much to the dynamics of the arrangements. At several points we dropped just to strings, and they led the arrangements of 'In Christ Alone' and 'Jesus Christ I think Upon Your Sacrifice' to great effect.

Tom preached a profound sermon on the Year of Jubilee, emphasising the ultimate hope of freedom we have as God's people. 'I Cling' was a perfect response. I think that might have been the deepest version I've ever led. I was quite choked up with emotion and could hardly sing the final verse. As we finished the song I just left the final chord hanging in the room and half a dozen people came to share prophetic exhortations.
