Sunday evening at Kings

A strong opening to the new term of Evening Worship. These meetings feel like they have more potential so I'm going to lead a couple this term to help set the course.

We haven't done 'Rejoice' as much in the evening, but it continues to go well.

Then I led a pretty solid opening block, encouraging people to look to Christ at the beginning of the new term.

Our sermon series is on discipleship issues. Mark preached from a number of Psalms this evening, so I led my version of Psalm 40 to open the response. I've written an extra verse for the version I'm recording, which I used for the first time tonight.

I'm looking to lead more unstructured times within our worship sets, so I left a lot of room after 'Lord, you have my heart'. We're maybe a little out of practise with that. It was good this evening, but it will take a bit of encouragement for us to be confident with making the most of those times.

But overall a promising start.
