Easter Sunday is always a gift. There's a very tangible sense that people have come to the meeting ready to celebrate.

We started the morning with a video of our choir singing 'My Song Is Love Unknown' spliced with a contemporary take on the two Marys' journey to the tomb on Easter morning. I don't think the hymn is specifically about that journey but it fits so well and the two texts illuminate one another.

There are a few classics that only come out at Kings on Easter Sunday. 'See What A Morning' and 'Thine Be The Glory' are probably foremost amongst them. I added the bridge from Matt Redman's 'Remembrance'. It's so profound singing the ancient words "Dying you destroyed our death/Rising you restored our life/Lord Jesus, come in glory".

We had two baptisms this morning to add to the celebration and Mark preached on Jesus appearance to the disciples on the road to Emmaus.

A joyful celebration.
