We're preaching through Hebrews this term, and reached the passage about Jesus as high priest today. There are so many songs on that theme! It was a content-heavy morning.

We used in-ear monitors for the first time this week. (Well, actually we did try them a few years back, but our gear wasn't really up to scratch and we didn't get on with them.) I still have some reservations about the way in-ears distance you from everyone else in the room, but while we're prerecording, that doesn't make a huge difference. The goal is to have got used to them by the time we have full bands at in-person gatherings. I think they're pretty necessary for a good live+livestreaming mix, and it looks like the future will be a hybrid.
