Evening Worship at Kings

Leading our double evening services with Megan. Mark preaching on 'Joining the Church'.

The response needed to encourage our activity as the church, so I balanced the beginning of the set with the Gospel of God's generous grace.

First service, the first set really took off. I had a powerful sense of the grace of God lifting us from where we were headed, up to the very throne room of God, which is sang as a spontaneous song into the bridge of 'Good and Gracious King'. That kind of spontaneous theological exhortation is one of my strengths as a worship leader. That works a little strangely when you do a repeat service. When we came to the same place I couldn't decide whether to do the same link. I tried to do a different riff on the same theme, but it didn't hit quite so definitely. I guess we'll develop new practises as we settle into double services.
