Morning Worship at Kings

We're meeting in the DHSG sports hall at the moment. It's a huge building with several seconds of reverb so an interesting place to lead contemporary worship. Easy to overwhelm with too much sound, but amazing for a cappella singing. I mostly picked songs with plenty of room in them.

'So Will I' was my biggest experiment in the set. It's quite a complex song lyrically, but my hunch was it would really work with the reverb. I was right. It sounded absolutely epic. We really built the bridge and then dropped to almost nothing for verse 3. I feel like we grasped the weight of the lyrics together as we sang. 'How Deep The Father's Love' was a powerful link.

Mark preached on mission. I had quite a few different options for response and I'm not completely sure I picked the right track, but the atmosphere was upbeat and uplifting.

The busy season is coming. We're changing venues again over the next two weeks, Evening Worship is back next Sunday, all the students are returning. Here we go...
