Bible Projects

I’ve been an enthusiastic reader of Scripture since the age of 18, when I decided that I’d better find out what was actually in the Bible. I opened Genesis 1, read through cover-to-cover, then turned back to Genesis 1 and started again.

Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to work on a variety of Bible projects including songwriting for the Family Worship ‘Get into the Word’ album, writing a Bible project for Scripture Gift Mission, Sunday School material for Kevin Mayhew, and study notes for the ERV Youth Bible.

I’ve also taken on two major Bible projects of my own…

Bible Summary

Starting August 2010 I summarised the whole Bible on Twitter – one tweet per chapter, one chapter per day. It took over three years to complete all 1,189 chapters, and over that time the @biblesummary account amassed 30,000 followers.

The project was featured in the news all over the world, and I was once named among CNN’s ‘Most Intriguing People Of The Day’ (which is an absolute gift for those times when you’re asked to “say something interesting about yourself”).

Off the back of the Bible Summary project, Authentic Media asked me to write a book introducing Scripture. So that’s what I did. The end result is ‘@BibleIntro – a Bible Handbook for the Twitter Generation’ which came out in March 2015.

Here’s more information. You can follow @BibleIntro on Twitter and Facebook, and buy the book from Authentic Media.
