Sunday morning at Kings

An excellent morning overall, but it was hard work today. I think that was mainly due to a (now very rare) PA issue as we began the main block of worship.

Mark had just preached a hard-hitting sermon and I was needing to get the tone right for response with 'Amazing Grace' but the foldback was distorting wildly. It was a little too much to manage at that key moment in the service and I struggled to get hold of things.

'I lift my hands' was right on theme. Seymour (who played keys this morning) had suggested it as potentially fitting during the week and he was absolutely right. It was really encouraging that someone else was thinking about what we should sing.
