A full house for baptisms today, so we strongly celebrated the Gospel.

After the baptism, I decided to go almost a cappella for 'Amazing Grace'. I'm looking for opportunities like that to broaden us beyond just a band-up-front kind of dynamic. There's definitely a time for a strong lead from the band, but I'm keen to put the overall emphasis more and more on the congregation singing rather than the band playing music.

Andy preached a wrestling sermon on Hosea 6-8. I wasn't quite sure how to respond and I'm not sure I did the perfect job. You don't want to resolve a heavier sermon to easily, but it feels a little awkward to leave it unresolved. I guess I just have to trust that the impact is at a deeper level than just "is this an enjoyable set of songs?".
