I've had a tough week this week so it was always likely to be a slightly shaky morning. It was, but it was also good from the most important perspective. We shared communion, and Richard Briggs was on very fine form with a sermon on Gideon including toy swords and trumpets as props.

I think that's the first time I've led 'Jesus saves' at the morning meeting. The congregation is fairly used to it as we use it as the backing music to the heavily rotated June Project promo video. It went well. I even figured out how to gain some space during the song - up to now it's been one of those ones that just tears along and then finishes fairly abruptly.

I'm always pleased when people encourage me after the service, but this morning it was a life-saver.
