Morning Worship at Kings

Leading with Hannah. We knew the building would be cold so we planned some songs we could play with some groove to get us warmed up.

The sermon was on Jesus' ministry manifesto in Luke 4. I pulled out 'Jesus is Here' to respond, which I haven't played in a long while.

I've never quite figured out what feel I want for that song. I wrote it on piano, and I haven't loved any of the guitar rhythms I've tried. It's uptempo but quite open, not driving at all. But if I play it chilled it always feels like it wants to burst out. I think today was the closest to happy with it I've been with it. Credit to the band for finding nice parts. It certainly connected well with the sermon theme.
