Story
I always knew I'd eventually write a Psalm 4. The idea in Psalm 4:1 that "you made room for me in my distress" has been a core revelation for me of how God deals with us for many years.
The song began as an exercise at a Resound retreat in November 2022. I was just emerging from a period of intense distress and insomnia after I lost my voice. I refined it over the following months. This is what I wish I had to sing as I faced each desperate, wakeful night.
