Sunday evening at Kings

A powerful evening, kicking off the new term and our new sermon series on 'Enjoying God's Grace'.

I wanted to fix our attention squarely on Christ. I still felt echoes of Easter in the "Lord of life" verse of 'Crown Him'. My 'Come and Worship' really took off. There was a powerful liberty in worship in that opening block.

It was a slightly strange move going into 'Man of Sorrows' after the "We are more than conquerors" chorus of 'You Alone Can Rescue', but it felt like the right think to finish focusing on Christ again rather than thinking about our own position.

With a sermon theme like grace, the setlist pretty much writes itself.

A great start to the term!
